Some businesses begin with a strategy.

Ours began with a friendship.

A friendship that has lasted more than twenty-two years, between two people who — by coincidence or destiny — were even born on the same day.

For most of those years we built our own lives, careers, and projects.
But the creative connection between us was always there.

Eventually that connection led to something unexpected: a shared home, a shared creative space, and the beginning of a new journey.

That journey became MyHouseMyHome.

Our Story

Sam and I have been friends for more than two decades.

Creativity has always been present in our lives — though it took different forms.

Sam built his work around music, sound, and film production, creating a studio where artists and ideas could come together.

My own professional path led me in a different direction for many years. I worked at the University, traveling the world and contributing to projects focused on sustainability and the future of our planet. Alongside that career, I always carried a deep love for lifestyle, fashion, interiors, and beautiful design, and my family remained at the center of everything.

Even though our professional paths were different, Sam and I continued to collaborate on and off throughout the years. Whenever he worked on music or video productions, he often asked me to help with styling, visual ideas, and sometimes even the scripts, simply because he liked my sense of style and storytelling.

That is why we often say we have been working together for more than twenty-two years — not in a straight line, but in the natural rhythm of life. Sometimes months would pass without much contact, and then suddenly we would be talking and creating together every day again.

Jewelry only entered my life much later. In 2022–2023, I began learning the craft — a discovery that eventually grew into the Resist2it collection.

Years ago, we found an old house where Sam could live and build his music studio.

At that time, it was simply meant to be a place where creativity could happen.

Two years later, my own journey unexpectedly brought me back to that same house.

After selling my home, I needed a new place to live for a while.
So we made a simple agreement: I would move in for one year, and during that year we would finally build the business ideas we had been talking about for so long.

That one year changed everything.

Where the Idea Was Born

The house itself was charming, but it also needed love.

When I moved in, it didn’t look at all like the kind of home I was used to living in.
So naturally, we started improving things.

We painted walls.
We searched for beautiful objects.
We experimented with ways to make the space warmer and more inviting.

One moment stands out clearly.

The bathroom was extremely old-fashioned — with flower wallpaper and dark brown tiles. Not exactly inspiring. Instead of renovating the entire room, we tried something different. We removed the wallpaper. We used special paint to cover the tiles. Suddenly the room became completely white and fresh.
Then we added a beautiful antique mirror above the sink and a few carefully chosen details and I brought my design items with me.
And just like that, the space felt elegant, calm, and almost luxurious — without spending thousands on renovation.

That moment planted a seed.

What if creating a beautiful home didn’t require expensive renovations?

What if it was about choosing the right things?

That simple idea became the foundation of MyHouseMyHome.

The House of Creation

Today the house where we live and work has become something we lovingly call:

The House of Creation.

It is both our home and our creative world.

The music studio lives in the living room.
Ideas are discussed at the kitchen table.
My jewelry atelier is upstairs.

And in summer, an important part of our work happens on the porch, where the sun, coffee, and long conversations often lead to our best ideas.

Every part of the house contributes to the creative process.

(You can read more about the story of the House of Creation in our blog.)

Resist2it — Jewelry by Jules

Within this creative house, another important part of MyHouseMyHome was born.

My handmade jewelry collection: Resist2it.

Each piece is created slowly, stone by stone, in my atelier upstairs.

Many designs are inspired by real memories and stories — travels, friendships, landscapes, and moments that left a lasting impression.

Because every bracelet or necklace is handmade, no two pieces are exactly the same.

Resist2it represents something we deeply believe in:

In a world that moves fast, some things should still be created slowly and with intention.

Returning to Real Things

As MyHouseMyHome evolved, something interesting happened.

Our direction slowly became clearer.

At first we thought we were simply building a shop with beautiful products.

But over time we realized it was something deeper.

We were returning to a philosophy we had shared for many years:

A love for real materials, craftsmanship, creativity, and meaningful objects.

The world is changing.

More people are looking for things that feel authentic again — things that carry a story and a sense of care.

That is exactly what we try to create with MyHouseMyHome.

(You can read more about this philosophy in our blog.)

The Curated World of MyHouseMyHome

Today MyHouseMyHome has grown into a curated lifestyle store built around that original idea:

Helping people create beautiful homes without needing major renovations or endless consumption.

Instead, we focus on carefully chosen pieces that add atmosphere and character.

Some are handmade in our own atelier.
Some come from small creators and partners we believe in.
Others are products we discovered that simply belong in this world.

Every item is chosen with the same question in mind:

Would we love to live with this ourselves?

If the answer is yes — it becomes part of MyHouseMyHome.

A Personal Note

MyHouseMyHome is not just a store.

It is the result of a long friendship, a shared creative journey, and a house that slowly transformed into something much more than a place to live.

Every day we continue building this world together — step by step.

And we are grateful that you are here to be part of the story.

With love,

Jules & Sam

Founder's Note
— From the People Who Live Here

Looking back, it feels natural that this journey eventually led to MyHouseMyHome.

Working for many years on sustainability projects around the world shaped the way I look at objects, materials, and the way we live. It taught me that the future is not built on endless consumption, but on choosing things more consciously — things that last, that carry meaning, and that bring real value to everyday life.

In many ways, MyHouseMyHome is simply an extension of that belief.

XOXO
