What Home Really Means

What Home Really Means

What Home Really Means

Over the past few weeks, my son and I have been looking for a destination for our next trip together.

It sounds simple: a beautiful place, some sunshine, maybe nature, maybe a city.
But while we’ve been searching, I realized that it’s actually about something else.

We’re not just looking for a holiday.
We’re looking for time together.

When he was little, the meaning of home was very clear to me and his dad.
It was the place where he needed to feel safe. Where he could play, laugh, and rest. Where life didn’t have to be perfect, but it had to feel warm and loving.

As a parent, you want one thing: to create a foundation.
A place where your child feels supported. A place he can always return to.

Now he’s older. His world has grown.

But what touches me is that the need is still the same.

Being together.
Making time.
Stepping out of the rush of everyday life.

And while we are searching for the right destination, I’m reminded again:

Home is not just a place.
Home is a feeling.

It lives in attention.
In small moments.
In sitting together at the table.
In a conversation.
In a walk.
In a week away somewhere in the sun.

Sometimes a holiday can feel more like home than your own house — simply because there is space, time, and real presence.

For me, this is also the heart of MyHouseMyHome.

Not perfection.
Not trends.
Not more things.

But creating an environment — and moments — where life feels calm, warm, and real.

A place where you can breathe.
Where you can be yourself.
Where you can be together with the people who matter.

Because in the end, that is what home really means.

Not the walls.
But the feeling.

And where are we going to?  You will find out soon... once we finally decided.

With love and attention,
Jules 💞
